Executive desks, chairs and meeting tables for the CEO office
Executive office furniture has to work on two levels. It supports a demanding working day of documents, video calls and decisions, and it sets the tone of the space where clients, partners and board members are received. The executive desk, the chair, guest seating, a meeting table and storage should therefore share one language of materials and finishes, while staying ergonomic enough for long hours.
Frezza designs and manufactures its executive office furniture in Vidor, Italy: executive desks, executive chairs, meeting tables, credenzas and sideboards and partition walls, all coordinated within a single project.
Executive desks
The desk defines the character of the room. Mux70 by Stefano Boeri Interiors, winner of the iF Design Award 2025, the German Design Award 2025 and the Good Design Award, is built from two elements that form a T: a solid central volume carries a large cantilevered top, with optional height adjustment and finishes in woods, matte lacquers, leathers, Fenix and Oleomalta. The Ono collection by Perin & Topan combines an aluminum frame with woods and eco-leathers, while the Spike executive desk by Giorgio Topan offers glass, wood, HPL or melamine tops and a return with a height-adjustable service top operated by remote control. The guide to luxury executive desks brings all collections together.
Executive chairs and guest seating
Deva Premium comes in leather, eco-leather or fabric, with a high or medium back, a synchronized mechanism, lumbar support adjustable up to 70 mm and a die-cast aluminum base. Florence pairs a high or low upholstered back with die-cast aluminum armrests and a synchronized tilt, and the Radar Executive chair brings the Radar design language to the CEO office. For guests and a conversation corner, sofas such as Russell are coordinated in finish and upholstery. All models are collected in the page on executive office chairs.
Meeting tables for the executive suite
Frezza’s executive collections each have a matching table, so desk and table share materials and details: the Mux70 meeting table, the Ono meeting tables with wood and leather tops, and the Spike board meeting table. When meetings grow larger, the project continues into the meeting room.
Credenzas, wall systems and glass partitions
The Mux70 sideboard, available in different lengths and heights with drawers or doors, the Sabree sideboard by Monica Armani and the Workwall boiserie complete the room in continuity with desk and seating. To separate the executive office from the open plan without cutting it off, K Evo glass partitions, with 10 or 12 mm glass up to 3.10 m high and no vertical uprights, keep a visual connection with the team.
Custom projects and design files
For headquarters and representative spaces, Frezza develops custom projects with in-house production in Vidor, as shown in its workspace design projects. Executive office furniture can be coordinated with the office workstations of the open plan and with the reception. Executive office furniture: FAQs
How much space does an executive office need?
It depends mainly on the desk configuration. A straight executive desk works in a smaller room, while a desk with a return or a U-shaped layout with a credenza needs noticeably more floor area. Space planners usually allow at least 42 inches (about 107 cm) behind the desk for the chair and passage, and 36 to 42 inches in front of it for guest chairs. If the room also hosts a small meeting table or a sofa, plan those zones first and size the desk around them, not the other way round.
What should go behind an executive desk: a credenza, a return or a storage wall?
A credenza or sideboard keeps documents and devices within reach and leaves the wall free for art or branding; a return adds a second work surface for a monitor or paperwork; a full-height storage wall suits offices with heavy filing. Frezza’s Mux70 desk can be paired with side extensions, hanging pedestals, service units and the matching Mux70 sideboard, while the Workwall boiserie turns the back wall into an equipped surface.
Can an executive desk be height adjustable?
Yes. The Mux70 executive desk offers an optional height-adjustment system for the top, so the executive can alternate sitting and standing without giving up a representative desk. On the Spike executive desk, the return includes a service top whose height is adjusted by remote control. Specify the option at the design stage, since it affects cable management and the position of the power supply.
How should an executive office layout be planned?
Start with three zones: the work zone around the desk, a visitor zone for one-to-one meetings, and a meeting or lounge zone if the room is large enough. The desk is usually placed facing the door, with a clear view of the entrance and natural light from the side to avoid glare on screens. Storage and credenzas go along the back wall, and the meeting table or sofas near the entrance, so visitors do not cross the work zone.
What sets an executive desk apart from a standard office desk?
An executive desk is designed as a representative piece as well as a workstation: larger tops, more structured shapes such as Mux70’s cantilevered T, and finishes such as wood, leather, Fenix or Oleomalta. It is usually part of a coordinated collection, with matching meeting table, credenza and accessories, so the whole office reads as a single project. A standard desk prioritizes modularity and footprint for the open plan.
