Designer poufs for offices, waiting rooms and lounge areas
Frezza designer poufs are upholstered seats without a backrest, light to move and easy to combine, that furnish the spaces where people stop for a short time: the waiting room, the reception area, the lobby and the lounge areas of the office. Also known as ottomans, they provide extra pouf seating, work as a footrest or as a surface to set things on, and can be upholstered in a wide range of fabrics and colors.
Together with sofas, armchairs and benches, they are part of Frezza office lounge furniture: poufs from the same collection share upholstery and finishes, so they match the office sofas, the reception armchairs and the waiting room benches.
Poufs for offices, open spaces and training rooms
In the office, a designer pouf is an informal seat for short meetings, group work and breaks, and it can be moved wherever it is needed. C1.8, designed by Giorgio Topan, has a multilayer wood structure padded with polyurethane foam and, in the version with a writing tablet, an integrated tablet in 12 mm thick beech plywood, 74 cm from the floor: it is designed for the office, individual study, training and group work. On the Small pouf and the pouf with a writing tablet, an anthracite fabric strap sewn onto the upper side makes it easy to move, and it is available in one color or a combination of colors. It is part of the C1.8 collection.

Modular poufs for lounge areas and common spaces
In lounge areas and common spaces, poufs can be arranged into islands where several people sit together. Radar, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, comes in six modules of different shapes and sizes: linear poufs for one, two or three people, and L-shaped, triangular or square poufs for two to four people. The base is MDF covered in black eco-leather with non-slip felt pads and, except on the one-seater, a USB socket can be integrated. It is part of the Radar collection, with matching armchairs and sofas.
Poufs for waiting rooms and reception areas
In waiting rooms and reception areas, poufs add seats without crowding the space and sit well next to sofas and armchairs. Afina, designed by Ramos Bassols, has organic shapes with rounded corners and, by placing several pieces side by side, becomes a sofa, a single seat or a surface to set things on. It is made of multilayer wood padded with non-deformable polyurethane and is part of the Afina collection, with sofas and coffee tables designed for waiting and lounge areas.
Stand By Pouf, designed by Favaretto & Partners, has an internal structure in EPS and wood, polyurethane padding and fabric or eco-leather upholstery in bright colors: it is designed for relaxation areas, waiting rooms and offices. It is part of the Stand By collection, which also includes sofas, upholstered benches and small armchairs.
Matching poufs, sofas and coffee tables
Designer poufs pair with office coffee tables and with the sofas and armchairs of the same collection. Choosing them together gives the waiting room, reception and lounge areas a consistent look, with upholstery and finishes customizable to the project.
Designer poufs: frequently asked questions
What is a pouf used for in an office?
In an office, a pouf is a light, informal seat that can be moved easily wherever it is needed: it adds seats during short meetings and group work, works as a footrest or a surface to set things on in lounge areas, and makes the waiting room more welcoming. Models such as C1.8 with an integrated writing tablet also let people take notes or rest a laptop.
What is the difference between a pouf and an ottoman?
In everyday use the two words overlap: both are upholstered seats without a backrest or arms. An ottoman is usually larger and firmer and is often used as a footrest in front of an armchair, while a pouf is generally lighter and easier to move, and is designed above all as an extra seat. Frezza poufs have an internal structure in wood, MDF or EPS with polyurethane padding, so they hold their shape and work as real seats in offices and waiting rooms.
Are poufs comfortable to sit on?
Yes, as long as the padding keeps its shape and the seat is firm enough. Frezza poufs are padded with polyurethane foam on a rigid internal structure, so they stay comfortable even with frequent use. Since they have no backrest, they suit short stays, such as quick meetings, breaks and waits, and can be placed next to sofas and armchairs for those who stay longer.
What is modular pouf seating?
Modular pouf seating is made of separate elements that can be placed side by side to form islands, rows or corner compositions, and rearranged when the space changes. Radar, for example, comes in six modules: linear poufs for one, two or three people, and L-shaped, triangular or square poufs for two to four people, with an optional USB socket on all but the one-seater. Afina pieces can also be combined to form a sofa or a single seat.
Can a pouf have a writing tablet?
Yes. C1.8 is also available with an integrated writing tablet in 12 mm thick beech plywood, 74 cm from the floor, with an internal metal counterbalancing plate that keeps the pouf stable. It lets people take notes or rest a laptop during training sessions, workshops and group work, and the fabric strap on the upper side makes it easy to move from one room to another.
