Office stools and work stools: high workstations, laboratories and collective areas
Frezza’s office stools and work stools are the perfect blend of design, ergonomics and functionality. Crafted from high-quality materials, these stools are designed to fit seamlessly into any professional environment, ensuring maximum comfort even in dynamic work situations. They complete the Frezza range of chairs and stools, sharing the same finishes and upholstery.
Ergonomic stools with backrest for maximum comfort during the workday
Frezza offers a range of ergonomic stools, with or without backrest, ideal for those who need flexibility and comfort during long hours of work. The gas lift height adjustment allows each user to find their ideal position, regardless of the desk height or personal stature. Some versions feature adjustable and padded backrests, providing additional lumbar support and ensuring well-being throughout the workday.
For those working in environments like warehouses, labs, or production spaces, the Ergotech work stools offer practical and versatile solutions. The adjustable height footrest, non-slip and sturdy, ensures optimal posture even when working at stations of varying heights. Additionally, the option to choose between stools with castors or feet allows users to customize their experience based on their specific needs.
Stackable space-saving stools, functional and elegant
Frezza’s stools are not only functional but also stylish. The Poppea stackable stools are the ideal solution for those looking for space-saving seating without compromising on design. Perfect for waiting areas or multifunctional spaces, these seats are lightweight and easy to store, yet solid and durable.
Design stools perfect for refined and modern interiors
With structures in curved wood or chromed steel, the Karl stools are available in a variety of finishes and heights, ideal for use next to desks, reception counters or high tables in break areas. The swivel base with height adjustment, combined with premium materials like veneered wood and polyurethane padding, makes them the perfect choice for those seeking elegance and comfort in a single product.
Stools for restaurants and bars
Frezza offers a wide range of high bar stools, designed to add a touch of style and functionality to dining and hospitality spaces. These tall stools are perfect for furnishing environments such as bars, restaurants and corporate lounge areas, thanks to their versatile design that suits both elegant interiors and more informal spaces. Available with wood or steel frames, and upholstered or leather seats, they offer an ideal combination of comfort and durability. Some models also come with backrests for additional ergonomic support, while others with adjustable height fit perfectly at counters of various sizes.
Work stools for projects and public tenders
Every Frezza stool is manufactured in Italy and comes with a technical datasheet, certifications for professional use and downloadable 2D and 3D CAD files. Whether in offices, coworking spaces, laboratories or design environments, Frezza’s office stools provide solutions built to last and ready to be specified, without having to look elsewhere for the documentation.
Office stools: frequently asked questions
What height should a work stool be?
The rule of thumb is a seat 25-30 cm below the work surface. A reception counter at 110 cm calls for a seat around 80 cm; a laboratory bench at 90 cm calls for 60-65 cm. This is why most models use gas lift adjustment with a wide range: the same workstation is used by people of different heights, and a fixed height suits only one of them.
With or without a backrest: which should I choose?
It depends on how long people stay seated. Without a backrest for touchdown positions, where someone sits for a few minutes and needs to get on and off quickly. With a backrest for anyone seated longer than an hour: at that point the lower back needs support, otherwise the spine curves and the ergonomic advantage of the stool is lost. Models with an adjustable backrest cover both situations.
What is the footrest for?
It stops the legs from hanging. On a raised seat the feet do not reach the floor, and without support the weight presses on the back of the thighs, restricting circulation. The footrest shifts the load back onto the feet and allows the user to change position during the day. On Frezza work stools it is height-adjustable, because it has to follow the seat adjustment to serve any purpose.
Castors or glides?
Castors suit workstations where people move along a counter or between two nearby positions, typically laboratories and reception desks. Glides are better where the stool should stay put, on sloping floors, or in spaces open to the public where a seat that rolls away is a hazard. Check the castor type too: hard-floor and carpet castors are not interchangeable without consequences for stability.
What is the difference between a work stool and a bar stool?
A work stool is a task seat in every respect: gas lift adjustment, adjustable footrest, often a backrest and a five-star base, built for people who spend hours on it. A bar stool prioritises line and compact footprint, usually with a fixed height and a lighter frame, for short stays. Putting a bar stool in a laboratory means paying for it in discomfort within a few weeks.
