In recent years, the transformation of the working world has redefined the spaces where daily activities take place. From formal and rigidly structured environments, offices are evolving into more open, welcoming spaces that foster collaboration.
A new vision of space for contemporary work
This is the context that gave life to Work Cafés: hybrid environments where people can meet, work, share ideas or simply take a break, in an informal yet thoughtfully designed setting.
Within Frezza’s showroom, this vision takes shape in two distinct yet complementary environments, created to best express the balance between functionality, well-being and design. Modular furnishings, refined finishes and thoughtfully integrated solutions transform these spaces into immersive experiences, where work becomes a natural extension of social interaction and vice versa.

The beating heart of the Work Café: Connections, collaborations and creativity
The first area embodies the core spirit of the Work Café, featuring furnishing elements chosen for their adaptability: from morning coffees to informal meetings, from brainstorming sessions to shared moments of relaxation.
Yo Metal chairs and Flamingo tables define the space with a light, contemporary aesthetic, while the Alplus meeting table, paired with the Alplus sofa featuring acoustic fabric partition panels, creates a welcoming and versatile island, perfect for quick catch-ups or more private conversations. Karl stools in both Wood and Fabric versions complete the setting with minimalist lines and a warm feel.
Adjacent to this area is a second configuration designed for a more structured work experience, while still fostering collaboration. Built around the modular Alplus system, it features a bench with integrated backrest panels, two Radar tables, and a pair of Fior di Loto Upholstered armchairs with black nylon pyramidal bases. These chairs, with their soft padding and elegant shape, offer ergonomic comfort, while the tables bring a dynamic, contemporary touch that supports a variety of uses.
A desk with lateral storage elements follows, serving both functional and spatial purposes. Nearby, an Alplus meeting pod with a trapezoidal table offers an informal yet secluded space, ideal for quick meetings or quiet breaks within an open-plan setting. A final area includes benches, Radar tables and Yo Upholstered chairs with armrests and black nylon pyramidal bases, reinforcing the overall concept of a dynamic and inviting environment.
The common thread throughout this configuration is communication: every element is thoughtfully designed to encourage interaction while maintaining visual continuity. Each detail is carefully calibrated to support focus and functionality, without compromising the openness and fluidity of the space.

A shared break that enhances the work experience
The second area is designed as a more intimate corporate space, intended for quick coffee breaks or casual lunches among colleagues.
A custom-made unit runs along the entire wall, discreetly storing everything needed to make break time simple, organised and enjoyable. Flamingo tables return as key elements, this time paired with Fior di Loto Fabric and Yo Plastic chairs, both in their minimalist versions with black nylon bases and without armrests.
This area is located along the side of Pal Room, whose metal grid panel structure defines the space without enclosing it, allowing light to flow freely and maintaining visual continuity with the rest of the showroom. Decorative elements such as plants or accessories can be freely added to personalise the space and create a more relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
The Value of Design in the Evolution of Workspaces
At Frezza’s showroom, these two areas represent a new way of experiencing the workplace: an approach where design, functionality and well-being come together to create dynamic environments that elegantly and flexibly respond to individual needs.
The Work Café concept reflects a profound shift: the blurring of boundaries between operative and social spaces, between work time and personal time. This is a transformation that Frezza interprets through thoughtfully designed furniture solutions: practical, efficient and always centered around people.
